Real Church by Larry Crabb
Real Church, by Larry Crabb, raises the question “What is real church?”. The author brings into question people’s motivesfor going to church. From the get go,after seeing how this guy writes, I knew this book was going to be strange. First off, let me say that I do not agree with practically anything this guy says. He says on pages xvii and xviii, that the church is supposed to have “spiritual theology”, be in “spiritual community” and a couple other really crazy things that I do not agree with. Later on, Mr. Crabb says that church is not for unsaved people to come to know Christ. I totally disagree with that as well.
I also found this book quite boring. Nothing in it challenges the mind or spirit. It’s just a guy that complains about having to go to church.
